The Fairview Community Council's beautification initiative is an effort by members of the Fairview community and local businesses dedicated to maintaining and improving Fairview’s parks and street landscaping, as well as the overall visual appeal of the Neighborhood.

Neighbors belive in the importance of maintaining current park amenities and planning for future improvements. We enjoy the opportunity to meet and work with neighbors. The goal is to foster neighborhood pride, and help ensure that Fairview becomes a neighborhood of choice.

The Beautification initiative, along with its sub-group, the “Fairview Flower Patrol,”  engages in several activities and projects during the year. Each spring the Council helps coordinate events like Neighborhood Clean-Up Day,  and participates in the Municipality's Adopt-A-Flower Program. We work in neighborhood parks and plant and maintain flower gardens at several intersections in Fairview

Volunteers work closely with several agencies and organizations, including the Municipal Parks and Recreation Department, Anchorage Neighborhood Housing Services, churches, businesses and Fairview neighbors, for the betterment of the Neighborhood.

Volunteers are needed for various projects and tasks, and any level of commitment is welcome. The Beautification Initiative looks forward to a great summer working with  neighbors, businesses and organizations, to help improve and beautify Fairview!
