Fairview Community Council Focus on Chronic Public Inebriates 

 

 

The FVCC continues to work on addressing the issues of Chronic Public Inebriates and Street-Level Criminals in Fairview and the Downtown Area. A forum with policy-makers was held from 6:30-8:00 pm on Tuesday, October 21, 2008, at Fairview Elementary School (1327 Nelchina St.).

The Council has also held public workshops on March 22nd, 2008, and October 13, 2007.  These workshops looked at how underfunding of the criminal justice system has contributed to negative impacts on the quality of life for residents in Fairview and the Downtown Area, and explored possible solutions to the problem.
