Sand Lake Community Council is meets on the 2nd Monday of each month at 6:30 PM. We meet at Sand Lake Elementary School in the library, 7500 Jewel Lake Road, Anchorage.

Our next meeting will be

Monday, September 14, 2020 at 6:30 pm

via Zoom - check the agenda for the link.

The Board of the Sand Lake Community Council has voted to provide for a unique format in conducting our March meeting; we are asking our presenter's to record a video message to provide their talking points to the Sand Lake community. Upon recording their video message, we ask that they submit it via email to the Sand Lake CC email account.

Our intent is to compile their videos (along with the other groups presenting) in a folder on Facebook and then monitor the comments submitted by the community; we'll then ensure they receive those comments. For Sand Lake community members who do not have Facebook, we'll compile all videos submitted into a compressed folder and send to the FCC for dissemination to our email list.

The SLCC Board felt that on such short notice that a video conferencing meeting would be cumbersome and potentially chaotic. We fully intend to facilitate a teleconference and/or videoconference capability for our April meeting.

Thank you for your understanding and consideration.

Meeting dates for the first half of 2020 are listed below:

January 13 April 13
February 10 May 11

March 16 - one week later due to ASD Spring Break

The Sand Lake Community Council is the westernmost community council in the city of Anchorage, encompassing the geographic area between Campbell Lake/Dimond Blvd on the south, International Airport Rd on the north, Minnesota Drive on the east, and the ocean on the west.  Our purpose is to encourage active participation in neighborhood and community events, activities, schools–all of those things that make a viable city–and to advise the Anchorage Assembly and other groups about our area.
