The Northeast Community Council announces the formation of two new committees:
1. MOA Title 21 / Land Use Planning Review Committee. This committee has been formed to review the current draft of MOA Title 21 (Land Use Planning). Additionally, this committee will be reviewing the current drafts of the Municipal land use maps. The purpose of this committee is to compile NECC concerns or comments about the proposed documents, so they can be forwarded to the MOA for consideration in preparing the final versions of these important documents. 2. Northeast Traffic Calming Study Committee. This committee has been formed for the purpose of providing public input to DOWL Engineers and the MOA, who are in the process of performing a traffic calming study within northeast
Anchorage. This committee will meet a number of times to help compile a list of problem spots and to identify areas where traffic calming measures (speed bumps, street closures, one way streets, etc) may be of benefit.
