The next meeting of Government Hill Community Council is schedued for Thursday February 18, 2010.

 

Government Hill CC meets the 3rd Thursday of each month, 7 PM, at the Government Hill Elementary School.

 

 

The small, close-knit neighborhood of Government Hill is conveniently located within walking distance of downtown Anchorage.  It overlooks Knik Arm to the west and offers spectacular views of the Chugach Mountains to the east. The neighborhood is rich with Alaskan history, having been home to many of Anchorage's earliest settlers.  Today, Government Hill provides a home for an ethnically and economically diverse group of residents, many of whom work downtown or on adjacent Elmendorf Air Force Base.
